about THE OWNER
My name is Kristina Lu and I am the owner of Infinity Kids Academy. I was born and raised in San Diego and I am a wife and a mother to my 13 year old daughter and 6 year old son. My children are the reason why I started Infinity Kids Academy. I am CPR and First Aid certified and trained in Preventative Health Practices and Nutrition. I have worked in the child development field since 2005. I started working at a San Diego non-profit company as an Activity Aide and worked my way through the ranks to Activity Leader, Program Assistant, until I became the Site Director of a licensed child care program. Being a Director included coming up with my program's daily curriculum, creating a stimulating environment, balancing a budget, creating positive relationships with every child and their families, and following regulations by Community Care Licensing. I've been a Director of a program with 28 children- 72 children and have also worked with children who have special needs including ADHD, autism, and down syndrome.
Working with children has always been my passion. I feel fortunate to witness the growth and progress in each child as they get older. Being both a mother and a child care provider has provided me with tools that I feel are necessary to exceed in this field. Building my own child care means having the freedom to create my own program that best fits the children in my care. My success is only measured by your child's own success at Infinity Kids Academy. Along with making sure each child hits their milestones and academic goals, I want your child to gain confidence, independence, and a sense of community. To me, communication is key so as long as there is open communication, I know we can create a positive and enriching environment for your child.
